Two rates in the same basket
Food and books are subject to the reduced rate of 2.6 percent, most other goods to the standard rate of 8.1 percent. If you carry both, you need the separation at the product level — not only in the return.
Inventory that keeps up
Receipts and issues are recorded continuously, the stock level is available at any time. The year-end stocktake thus becomes a check instead of a reconstruction.
Daily till and card revenue
Cash takings via the cash book, card revenue via the bank reconciliation. Both meet in the same books.

Can I import products?
Yes, via CSV. Customers and suppliers can be imported too, as can your existing books.
Does Accounty support barcodes?
Products can carry an item number you can search by. Accounty does not replace a scanner till — it takes care of the accounting behind it.
How often do I have to take stock?
Once a year at the balance-sheet date. With continuous inventory management it becomes a reconciliation instead of a blind counting exercise.
