What the end of BusPro means
For decades BusPro was the accounting software of many small Swiss businesses. BusPro AG has announced that it will phase out the software:

Without updates, future adjustments to new statutory values will be missing, for example for VAT, social insurance or bank payment formats. Can I keep using BusPro after 2026?
According to BusPro AG's announcement, licences run until 31.12.2027 at the latest and support is available until 31.12.2026. From 2028 a free version without updates and without warranty is planned. Ongoing accounting will therefore lack adjustments to new statutory values. The information on buspro.ch is authoritative.
Which BusPro data does Accounty take over?
Accounty reads the PDF printouts of the balance sheet, income statement and journal from BusPro. From these it creates the chart of accounts, opening balances or the individual entries. Accounty derives the VAT codes from the tax lines.
When is the best time to switch?
Easiest at year end: close 2026 in BusPro and book in Accounty from 1 January 2027, with the 2026 closing figures as the opening. Switching during the year also works, using the journal of the current year.
What happens to my old BusPro data?
Business records must be kept for 10 years (Art. 958f CO). Save the reports of previous years as PDF and back up the entire BusPro data folder before you replace the old computer.
