A salon lives on many small cash takings and a few product sales on the side. That is unspectacular accounting — but only as long as it is recorded daily.

Separate services from product sales
The haircut is a service, the shampoo on the shelf a supply of goods. For reporting, the separation matters: only then do you see whether product sales pay off or merely tie up shelf space.
Daily till without paper chaos
The cash book takes the day's takings, cash outlays right along. If you close daily, there is nothing to reconstruct at year end.
Part-time and hourly wages
In a salon, rarely does everyone work full-time. Payroll settles monthly and hourly wages, including holiday compensation on hourly pay.
Chair rental
If you rent workstations to self-employed hairdressers, that is income of its own, not service revenue. Accounty keeps it separate so the delimitation from bogus self-employment is documented.
What Accounty costs for hair and beauty salons
CHF 29 per month, VAT included. That covers every module — general ledger, receivables with QR-bill, payables, payroll with no employee limit, VAT returns, year-end closing, document inbox with AI recognition, bank reconciliation, cost centres, inventory, cash book, time tracking and CRM. Unlimited users. Cancel monthly.
With many providers, payroll costs extra or is capped by headcount. That is why Accounty usually works out cheaper for businesses with employees than the list price suggests. A comparison with other Swiss solutions is available. If you want to see ten providers side by side, the detailed market analysis is in the article Swiss accounting software compared, 2026.
Who is behind it
Accounty is a product of SEBONA Treuhand Böhner in Kloten. We manage client mandates ourselves and built the software because no existing solution convinced us. If you would rather hand over your bookkeeping than run it yourself: We can take that on too.
Are you a fiduciary managing several mandates? There are dedicated terms from CHF 9 per mandate.
Frequently asked questions
Is Accounty enough for a one-person salon?
Yes. You pay CHF 29 per month regardless of size. If you hire later, payroll is already included.
Do I have to file VAT?
Only from CHF 100,000 annual revenue does tax liability arise. Many salons are below that. Accounty files as soon as you need it.
How do I record tips?
Tips that go directly to staff are not business income. If they go into the till and are distributed, they belong in payroll. Accounty handles both routes.
